Temple Croft: coronavirus update
So, here we all are in lockdown. As some of you will know, our renovation and refurbishment of Temple Croft is nearing completion, but in order to comply with government guidelines designed to stem the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, we have had to postpone all “non-essential” works by our plumber, builder, joiner and decorators until further notice.
So, just when it seemed like we were finally getting somewhere after almost a year in Alston, alas we are up in the air again. Still, we must keep things in perspective: there is plenty around the property to keep us busy and, while we are frustrated at yet another unforeseen delay, we understand that this situation has impacted many other families in an altogether more horrific way.
We remain healthy, we have our son, Fin, back with us from Nottingham University, and we are living in a very beautiful part of the country. In fact, we couldn’t think of a better spot to be locked down in, so we are very grateful for that.
However, it is now obvious that we will have to postpone our grand opening. Moreover, the bookings that we already have for later in the year must also now be in question: we are contacting those guests directly.
As the situation progresses we will update you further.
We wish all our family, friends and future guests the very best and hope to see you when all of this is over. Please keep safe everyone.
